Suggested improvements[edit]

Hello, Dofftoubab;

b1: There are sufficient citations, but in differing styles. Use a consistent citation style. Suggest changing section header to Sources or Citations. And where is your actual Reference section?

b2: You could beef up your scanty direct material on the fort with information that bears indirectly on the fort. For instance, a Background section topping the body of the text as a leadin could be used to frame the role of the fort in the Creek War and/or The War of 1812. Or maybe you can come with some other supplemental material.

I would like to add that I think you did a nice job with graphics, and that the writing is easily understood and concise.

I'm sorry if I seem hard on you. It's just that this article is borderline. Let's push it over into B Class.Georgejdorner (talk) 05:22, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much for the suggestions! You're not being too harsh--I'd much rather you give me good criticism so that I can correct my mistakes and hopefully improve on them. I redid the citations/references and added a "Background" section that hopefully gives an overview of these stockades. Let me know if you think of anything else. Given that we are trying to improve WP articles, your refusal to take these assessments personally is admirable.Georgejdorner (talk) 04:55, 28 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
My only objection to rating the article B Class for military history was the cites/references; these have been corrected in exemplary style. The suggested improvements are not grounds for holding up a B Assessment for WP MilHist. I did not assess for WP Alabama, as I lack the background to make a fair judgment. I would suggest submitting the article to that project for B Class assessment. Nice job, Dofftoubab.Georgejdorner (talk) 04:55, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome! Thanks for your help! Dofftoubab (talk) 01:27, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
