Expansion of historical information
[edit]All - I'd like to significantly expand the historical information on the fort and grounds, based primarily upon the considerable information available from National Park Service sites and sources, as well as adding a few more historical photos and artwork. Looking through the history, it seems like the page has remained relatively consistent for a while now, so don't want to offend anyone by making changes/expansions.
Any objections? --Craigbucher (talk) 05:39, 25 September 2015 (UTC)
All - I've completed updates to the historical sections. If you have anything else you'd like me to add or address, or take exception to how I've incorporated the previously-existing info, please let me know. Thanks! Craigbucher (talk) 01:44, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
Split park and historical sections?
[edit]Also, do you think there's any benefit to splitting off the "fort" ( the historical fortifications and military facilities) from the present-day national park and its facilities/attractions?
- I've done a lot of fort articles, and given the small amount of info on the present day park in the article I'd say keep it as is. However, many former forts/current parks have two articles. RobDuch (talk) 03:09, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
Gallery Photos
[edit]All - I'd like to remove the following photos, previously in the body of the article, now in the gallery:
- The photo of the main gate: it's almost completely in shadow, and is also represented in the main photo in the infobox - Re-enactors: they're basically all lounging around - I'd like to replace them with photos of re-enactors in action (firing a cannon, etc.)
Please let me know what you think. Thanks! Craigbucher (talk) 01:54, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
- I agree with improving the photos. RobDuch (talk) 03:09, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
- OK - going to update them with some more action-oriented photos. Thanks. Craigbucher (talk) 00:30, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
