This sounds more like a publicity stunt by Greenwash Guerrillas than an article. And there are claims with no sources to back them up.

This article should be deleted because: 1) It's too short. Like, REALLY short. 2) It doesn't have enough references. Does Fossil Fools day even exist? Who even celebrates it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.234.75.253 (talk) 18:52, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Fossil Fools Day

[edit]
This article provides little information about the recent tradition of Fossil Fools Day. Since this holiday is not only celebrated in the United States, but around the world, it is necessary to dedicate a passage to how citizens in foreign nations have observed this day. On Fossil Fools Day in 2008, hundreds of Australians protested in major cities, such as Melbourne, demanding that policies must be implemented to reverse global warming trends. Rather than simply stating that this holiday is celebrated globally, the article should provide more specificity about how people observe Fossil Fools Day internationally.
In addition, editors must give greater detail to the political platforms that protesters and other observers support or oppose. The article only provides a generalization as to what measures they are advocating without any substantiation. A separate heading should provide details about what legislation or policy proposals that observers are for or against. The article does not even state the organization's purpose. It is crucial to research the motives, such as whether Fossil Fools Day exists to simply provide awareness of environmental issues or create a template for policymakers to reverse environmental degradation. Further detail and substantiation would provide a more expansive and useful article.
