Talk:Fradley

This was posted by someone in the main page by mistake, presumably.

I disagree with the fact that the RAF houses at Fradley were sold to the council in 1959 as I lived there from 1963-66 when my father served in the RAF at Stafford and we lived in Fradley. He communited to Stafford daily for work. YES a lot of the text above is incorrect--Fradley never had concrete runways and was never built to have grass runways. It started life with the traditional tarmac RAF 6 runway layout.

My mother and father met there during the war and in 1977 I had the privllege of taking my mother and siter back there to the control tower(were you could still see the wartime paper notices). My mother died soon afterwards.

PLEASE when posting on websites research before you post--it is insulting to the memories of those who have gone to leave erroneous comments

Australian soldiers

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_casualties about 41000 Australians were killed in WW2. I'm sure they're not all buried at Fradley. If there is a signicant number of graves here, or a memorial, then perhaps the article should be reworded. 132.244.246.25 (talk) 12:51, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
