I started on this article because it was virtually top of the most wanted list, but it is clear that the 1911 EB writer I borrowed very heavily from was a real fan of Crispi.... those familiar with Italian history, please fix. Pete/Pcb21 (talk) 11:50, 28 May 2004 (UTC)

Crispi and the Arbëreshë

If you check the Website of the Associazione Culturale di Minoranza Linguistica Storica d'Italia you would find that it says: In Italia gli Arbëreshë hanno contribuito alla nascita dell'attuale contesto italiano con personaggi di rilievo, tra i quali : Papi Clemente XI e Clemente XII, Antonio Gramsci, Francesco Crispi, Girolamo De Rada, Masci, ecc. Of course I can't speak Italian, but I think that tha's clear enough. If it were an Albanian Website, one could assume that it is propaganda, but it is an Italian Website, and Italians are admitting that Crispi is Arbëreshë. What does that mean? That's a strange definition of trolling. Why do you think he's eternally banned on Swedish Wikipedia? Well, he has been conducting several edit wars, abused innocent users och edited from open proxies. BTW, do not start an off topic debate, just give me solid proof that Crispi was Arbëreshë. Well, a quick Yahoo! search in the .it domains reveals that the University of Rome and Local Government Agencies in Italy, have no problem saying that Crispi was Arbëreshë. It's incredible how far the vast Albanian Conspiracy goes, isn't it? Rex(talk) 12:34, 31 October 2005 (UTC)

That's a load of bull and you know it! Why don't you just accept the fact that Crispi was Arbëreshë? It's true, and more importantly, according to Wikipedia policies Wikipedia:Verifiability, Wikipedia:Cite sources and Wikipedia:Reliable sources it we should say that Crispi was Arbëreshë. I'm no Albanian nationalist, I'm (in this case at least) interested in facts. Unless of course you believe that this Vast Albanian Conspiracy is of such magnitute, that it puts the alleged "Zionist Occupation Government" conspiracy theory in perspective and forces the University of Rome[disambiguation needed] to promote Albanian propaganda. Crispi and Arbëreshë

I don't know if Crispi was really an Arbëreshë and it doesn't matter to me, but Palazzo Adriano was an Arbëreshë colony. This is a fact, and it is stated on the official site of Palazzo Adriano [3]. It is also a strong possibility that Crispi's family was Arbëreshë (if you read Francesco Crispi, 1818-1901: From Nation to Nationalism by Oxford University Press it seems quite clear that he was of Albanian origin), but since this is disputed I will not put it back in without a definitive proof. Strike action and death penalty

The page should say that Crispi abolished the death penalty and made legal the association and the strike action(first in Europe) Ujkaj4president (talk) 07:21, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
