Lack of support
[edit]An anonymous user has claimed the support forums of Freemat are closed and there is no method for support. The claims are unwarranted. The software page provides a link for Google groups (where everyone can post and discuss) and also bug report and feature request links are active.
I am removing the claim. Sarmadys (talk) 11:18, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
The Google groups are moderated and I know from experience that support questions are in fact blocked some times. Perhaps this was not clear in the initial edit. I have reworded the note about support. Hopefully it is clear now that this is not about bug reports, but about the support forum via Google groups. Most companies moderate their support forums (including Matlab, Microsoft, Oracle and most others). I don't see why this should be even mentioned on the page. Sarmadys (talk) 16:09, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
- The term "moderated forum" already implies potential block of contributions by the mods. Typically, this happens if the contribution violates the policy of the forum. Unless there is evidence that the support forum of FreeMat is exceptionally restrictive, there is no need to elaborate further. I will shorten the note accordingly.-----<)kmk(>--- (talk) 18:14, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
