Type
[edit]I do not agree with the type written in the box (Personal web server). Freedom is not only a web server. Phone, proxy, chat or email are supposed to be supported. — Francois Boulogne (talk) 18:31, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
Vagueness
[edit]I recently was reading an article about Bdale Garbee being an early promoter of FreedomBox wherein several years ago it implied that FreedomBox would act as a personal Web server and personal mail host, but there is no mention of that in this article. Did the objectives change? Acting as a server is unlikely, as most people rent their Internet connection from an Internet Service Provider (ISP). Although ISPs wouldn't be able to censor specific information hosted on a FreedomBox, for technical, not ideological reasons they can and do regulate, throttle or block private devices on their networks acting as hosts instead of clients. The article is vague on this aspect. — Quicksilver (Hydrargyrum)T @ 16:42, 23 August 2019 (UTC)
