ap Iorwerth vs Rhun

@ThatRandomGuy1, it was disputed at Talk:2024 United Kingdom general election#Rhun ap Iorwerth / Liz Saville Roberts that "ap Iorwerth" is patronymic, with those edits reverted back to using "ap Iorwerth" rather than "Rhun". So should this article do the same? I assume this was written when it was boldly claimed at Rhun ap Iorwerth that it was patronymic. Dank Jae 12:55, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up! I've changed the article to get rid of the inconsistency. I did indeed write this when Rhun ap Iorwerth's article used Rhun to identify him. I did question it somewhat at the time since he has stated that he uses ap Iorwerth as his surname, even if it does come from the patronymic Welsh naming system, but I kept it the same here for consistency.
