He is definitely not a mathematician. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.167.218.14 (talk) 04:05, 3 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Evidence

[edit]

Hi,

Of course, I have an evidence.

Sorry, it's so difficult fir me to find the informations to use Wikipédia. Can I send you my evidence ... Could you send me your adress mail or said me how i can send you some picture ?

Thank you so much Virginie-2015 (talk) 20:40, 21 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Virginie-2015. Mailing documents to other Wikipedians is neither necessary nor sufficient. Claims in Wikipedia need to be verifiable, which for the most part means they must be supported by published sources. See Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:Reliable Sources. (Those sources don't necessarily have to be online though, and could include books, newspaper articles, etc.) –jacobolus (t) 01:51, 22 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Good morning,
You say : Claims in Wikipedia need to be verifiable, which for the most part means they must be supported by published sources
Information found on the register of Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa - Canada and on the passenger list of October 15, 1953.
These sources are very official from United States Department of justice and the othe from register of cremation.

What did these sources say? –jacobolus (t) 16:41, 22 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This doesn't look like a reliable source, but everything there could probably be corroborated by other sources available online, and on that basis an "awards" section could be added. –jacobolus (t) 18:49, 22 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
ok, I understand.
Here a ling with the documents I talked to you before.

Seemingly random/false detail in first paragraph

[edit]

The second thing it has listed as a field he's made contributions to is color discrimination (i.e. racism), which is never brought up again and I think might have been added by a vandal that snuck it in because it sounded similar enough to the other ones that have to do with color (i.e. light) that it would go unnoticed. I've never heard of this man before reading this article and I don't really know how to find the best sources or whatnot for obscure things like this so I thought it would be safer to mention here instead of assuming and removing it myself. 73.255.95.1 (talk) 02:40, 12 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is a case where the Wikilink color discrimination redirected to the wrong place. I changed it into a disambiguation page. Eventually it could be made into a color science article or redirected to a more appropriate color science article, with a hatnote pointed at the article about racism. –jacobolus (t) 11:26, 15 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
