[edit]

Hey @पाटलिपुत्र: Given your efforts on improving art of this time period, I was wondering, do you perhaps have a picture of this relief at your disposal? - LouisAragon (talk) 14:20, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @LouisAragon:! Tough one to crack. Not many photographs on internet, no Flickr user to contact, no PD image apparently since it was discovered in 2004 only. One nice image on the Internet [1] appears in this site [2]. It belongs to Meltem C., who hosts her photographs on Foursquare [3]. You would have to contact her, and, ideally get her to upload the image on Commons. It works sometimes with some persuasion and explaining... especially if you're lucky to find an admirer of Wikipedia (it happens more and more...). पाटलिपुत्र Pat (talk) 15:04, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@LouisAragon: Otherwise, you could maybe upload one of the images as "Non-Free", since it can help "the reader identify an object, style, or behavior, that is a subject of discussion in the article" [4]. It's a bit tricky since the object can actually be photographed freely in a museum, as opposed to a private collection, but it might hold... पाटलिपुत्र Pat (talk) 15:14, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@LouisAragon: OK, Meltem C. happens to have an account on Flickr, so I'm sending her a mail so that she can upload the image there under a free license. पाटलिपुत्र Pat (talk) 15:23, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@पाटलिपुत्र: Much appreciated! Looking forward to her response. - LouisAragon (talk) 12:50, 11 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
