I have deleted the image titled "Dancing Girl engraving on a piece of red potsherd, discovered at Bhirrana, India", because it is unrelated to the topic.

Ganikas are courtesans in the Vedic Age of Ancient India (4th century to 6th century BCE). The potsherd was discovered to date back to the Harrapan civilisation, also known as Indus Valley civilisation from approximately 2600 BCE to 1900 BCE.

Also, I will editing this page and adding more information. - (Kurinobaka) 12:34, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

False Reiteration

[edit]

Ganikas were not "Dancing Girls", dancing was just one of the many arts they needed to succeed in to earn themselves the title of Ganika. So by calling them Dancers and linking them to the Dancing Girl Statue causes a misrepresentation of Ganikas (Kurinobaka talk) 07:41, 15 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
