- Lead: Needs some fleshing out. MOS:INTRO is a good guide to what should be included.
- Early life: I'd flip the arguments around so that "to a family of lower status and largely obscure" becomes "to a largely obscure family of lower status"
- In that quote, link the people that aren't already linked earlier in the article. Kekauʻōnohi and Kīnaʻu I think are the only two with existing articles, but you'll know better than I.
- Political career: Was there a reason he was acting governor two years before the governor's death?
- Death and legacy: Comma after "June, 1958"
- Cite #4: Although it is historical information, because it's a website, you'll need to add an access date.

@Miyagawa: I think that is it. Check to see if there is anything else. He was deputy governor. Changed that in phrasing. In the governmental sources, Leleiohoku's tenure as governor ended in 1846 and presumably Kapeau took over but was never officially appointed until 1850. Leleiohoku has also been described as governor until his death of measles in 1848 so it isn't clear what was happening in that period of time. --KAVEBEAR (talk) 17:38, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
