I don't think is Gersh Kuntzman is notable enough to have his own wikipedia page. "Groundbreaking coverage" of the Nathan's hotdog eating contest? It is a contest. People eat hotdogs. I don't really see what's groundbrekaing about it. This bio seems waaaay self serving, and was probably written by him. 71.247.0.98 21:24, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is he a real person? Seems almost like a hox. But I like it..... :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.88.2.162 (talk) 02:37, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why is his latest news not included?

[edit]

I understand that many people came and vandalized this page to the point you needed to lock the editing rights, however, the story is still what he is most famous for. It is completely factual that he went and shot an AR-15 and said he got temporary PTSD as a result. He later apologized for the remark. He has received much criticism for the story, and few, if any, have publicly come to his defense.

That actually happened, and the fact that it does not exist in his Wiki page makes me believe that you want to rewrite history. Please update this page with the correct information about him, and do it as unbiased as possible.

The reality is that this guy very likely doesn't qualify for a Wikipedia article at all, or only barely - and having a Wikipedia article at all will mean that some people will keep trying to add more and more snide remarks to the article about his claim to have been traumatized by imaginary recoil. You can see that I even find it difficult to to refrain from snide remarks myself. If the article stays, it should contain a sentence or two about the incident - but the article probably should be deleted instead. 64.105.98.115 (talk) 18:01, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
More recently he called for the banning of the singing of "God Bless America" at baseball games. I suspect he just craves attention -- even negative attention -- as his kind so often do. 209.117.8.178 (talk) 20:28, 5 July 2016 (UTC)HelenChicago[reply]

Re-nomination for deletion

[edit]

The previous 2 discussions on whether or not to delete this page did not reach a consensus, but brought up overall concerns on notability. I'd like to nominate this page for deletion in a few days for not reaching WP:AUTHOR, WP:BIO and WP:RS requirements. In the meantime, if anyone else has any thoughts please do let me know. BrxBrx(talk)(please reply with { {re|BrxBrx}}) 00:47, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't. May not have been truly notable in 2012 when the other two discussions happened but he certainly is now. --Majora (talk) 00:48, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@BrxBrx Go ahead with nomination of this page for deletion.--178.221.172.132 (talk) 06:18, 22 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Renominated. 02:33, 29 December 2016 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by BrxBrx (talkcontribs)

Kuntzman is one of a very few US public figures who openly supports Islamist terrorist activity. For that alone, he deserves his own wikipedia article, but it should note that Kuntzman supports the murder of Russian diplomats abroad and that he supports Jabhat Tahriri Al Sham and other Genocidal movements in Syria that target the country's minority groups. https://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/don-cry-russia-slain-envoy-putin-lackey-article-1.2917281 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.12.203.5 (talk) 11:01, 26 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
