Requested Move

I think this page should be moved to Gigabyte Technology. Thats the name of the company and thats even what it says in the article. Borb 21:22, 17 May 2005 (UTC)

This article has been renamed as the result of a move request. violet/riga (t) 10:56, 22 May 2005 (UTC)

Reads like an Advert

The section with the three products are adverts for specific products and technologies. They do not deliver the information in a way that is neutral.

Ultra Durable 3™
GIGABYTE Booktop M1022
GIGABYTE M912

statements like "GIGABYTE ensures to deliver motherboard with highest quality and leading design" and "the docking station exclusively from GIGABYTE" in the context within the article are grossly unacceptable.

It should be rewritten to describe what the company does, how they innovate how they developed the technologies. Not just copy and paste from their website.

I will change the article in a week if there are no objections stated here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Drphallus (talkcontribs) 02:30, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Naming convention incomplete?

Motherboards such as the GA-EP45-UD3R do not seem to be parsable with the abbreviations from the article. Should the “UD” be “UD3” and encompass S3? — Fruit (talk) 07:56, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

In addition to the text logo, the company possesses a graphic which resembles the Commodore logo a lot. Should this be dealt with in the article?

Update names

As previously mentioned , the Ultra Durable 3 motherboards drop the "S" in the naming , but the rest is the same , D would be Ultra Durable 2 , S# the feature-level , thereafter Ultra Durable 3 becomes UD followed by a "#" (number) stating it's feature-level.

there is also UD7 on the market... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xowets (talkcontribs) 17:54, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

Gigabyte aquired www.Gigabyte.com

And they will now use it for their english website. Soon, however, not now though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.188.63.194 (talk) 22:21, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

V letter

New letter in the mobo names, GA-H55M-S2V and GA-H55M-S2V not listed in the wikipage... yet :)

Any Guess what does it means?
