Disambiguation comment

[edit]

There are two Gmünds. Judging by the links, this one is supposed to be about the town in Lower Austria. There is a long article on it in the German wikipedia. Inge-Lyubov 22:30, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguated

[edit]

Like the previous commenter, I discovered the hard way that many of the links here (the Gmünd article as was) were mislinks intended for one of the other Gmünds. My estimate is that about 30% were definite mislinks and another 20% were too ambiguous to determine. That in itself is a damning indictment of sloppy editing, and a good lesson as to why inappropriate use of primary disambiguation is a bad thing.

Unlike the previous commenter, I've done something about it (I guess 5 years too late is not too late). I've moved this page to Gmünd, Carinthia. I've been through all the links and where I could I have correctly disambiguated them. Where they were too ambiguous to be sure, I've left them pointing at Gmünd, which is now a dab page, on the grounds that this is the lesser of two evils when compared to risking incorrect disambiguation. -- chris_j_wood (talk) 21:08, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
