Climate and vegetation

In the original series the Go-Backs does not live on a tundra but rather in an subarctic forest. This is clear from the size of the plants growing in the area around their hut. And yes, I did take into account that the elves of Elfquest are much smaller than humans.

Economy

I think the Go-Backs are herders rather than hunter-gatherers. This is because they repeatedly refer to milk as something they are used to. Skot have said at least twice that Leetah’s healing is “like warm milk”. Also, the Pinis has written that fighting trolls is Kahvi’s “meat and milk”. Sensibly, this means fighting is like basic foodstuffs to her. Unless they can by it from people keeping livestock hunter-gatherers don’t drink milk.
