Will the new capital be *in* or *near* Gongju?[edit]

There seems to be a bit of confusion in the media about exactly where the new capital is to be located. Some outlets have suggested that it is to be in Gongju city itself, others have said that it will be on a greenfield site in the county of the same name. Does anyone know which is right? -- ChrisO 15:43, 13 Aug 2004 (UTC)

This should probably be updated, both in this article and elsewhere. As far as I know, the new capital is actually proposed to straddle the border between Gongju City and Yeongi County, and the new site is (semi-?)officially referred to as "Yeongi-Gongju" (although I'd have to double-check that). At any rate, the capital will be outside of the existing built-up area, as you are suspecting. -Sewing - talk 14:27, 8 Sep 2004 (UTC)
