I don't see the notability of the said person. Could you provide some reliable third-party sources to show that he is notable? Pmlineditor  12:30, 15 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Goswami is not "Master of Cattl" as in the page for "Goswami"

[edit]

Goswami is not "Master of Cattle" as in the page for "Goswami" here in the Wiki.

This is a major error and nobody is paying heed to it. It seems all "Goswami"s are loosing their intellect capabilities.

Goswami came from Sanskrit and a merger of GOU and SWAMI. GOU means Vedas or Gyan or supreme knowledge; and SWAMI means the master. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kangkan (talkcontribs) 05:21, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

{{edit semi-protected}} Goswamis are based on Vraj/Brij in UP (Near Mathura-Agra region) as well. Not sure about which is the predominant region (Brij or Assam), but a mention does make sense.
