Not enough history and examples

[edit]

Graphical tools don't have a clear history which explain how this kind of tools was developed. If there's some standards or representative examples. How is the graphic tools development?
We can also separate IBM many eyes to Graphical tools Examples , at same time, add some other tools. Seedjeffwan (talk) 03:25, 14 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

With the IT development, I think graphical tools which original author mentions is more likely to merge visual tools now. Some of the definition is outdated like the categories. Seedjeffwan (talk) 16:15, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Improve the outdated part. Seedjeffwan (talk) 19:16, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Improvements suggested for the article

[edit]

This article has reference to an external website. Hence there should be an image of the website to justify what the author wants to present here. However, I agree with the author and still believe that IBM Many Eyes falls under the Graphical Tools category, since it is a visualization tool and is capable of providing graphical interpretations of data.

Whiteboarding tools and Modeling tools sections require citations so that it becomes verifiable and easier for a reader to understand what these mean.
The first three lines of this article starts with the same words and in different paragraphs. Making different paragraphs for a single line of text, is unnecessary. Hence the layout of text in this article also needs a fix to improve readability.

The only external link pointing to "A Graphical Tool for Collaborative Knowledge Work" is an invalid link which need modification. Seedjeffwan (talk) 15:12, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Apart from this external link (in the Reference section), it also refers to Many Eyes (the one that I was talking about) in the article. This is also an external link or citation for which I think an image would justify its presence. --Dic19 (talk) 17:55, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The image related to IBM Many Eyes cannot be embedded in this article because there is no such image of the software existing in Wikimedia. It is also against the policy to embed an image of any third party software or websites without the explicit permission of the owner of the website. Hence, not adding the image.--Dic19 (talk) 17:26, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
