Merge contesting[edit]

I was unaware of the AfD, but the article as it now stands definitely passes NALBUM, and there is clearly enough coverage to substantiate a separate article. Is there good reason to follow the outcome given the work done on the article over the course of that AfD? Chubbles (talk) 12:46, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Geschichte said in the discussion that merging is sensible with the band's only album being notable enough and the band's article is short in size. I would've voted to keep it, but in the end, I agreed with the said user. ASTIG😎 _{(ICE T • ICE CUBE)} 06:12, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's certainly true that this article could use some sprucing up, but it has the potential to be reasonable in size, and with the substantial coverage the album received in reviews, it also could be expanded beyond pure skeleton. I just don't see any particularly compelling reason to merge (except to placate the deletion nominator, who didn't really make a case for deletion and was the only one who !voted delete). Yeah, see, someone has come along and merged it, and then someone else has come along and decimated the content. I believe we should restore the album article, ~~and it's not clear to me whether I can just do that (since the sources were added since the AfD was ended) or I have to go to DELREV (since the sources were added since the AfD was started).~~ Chubbles (talk) 13:08, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
