Gremials are used in Anglican churches sometimes too. There is nothing specifically Roman Catholic about this simply functional item. Tb (talk) 16:38, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- Tb, I suggest we centralize our discussion at Talk:Maundy Thursday so other editors can continue to opine. I won't accuse you of paltry edit summaries nor lack of explanation assuming you'll extend the same courtesies. Thanks and Happy Wet Monday. --Boston (talk) 17:05, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed completely. I hit the "rollback" button entirely by accident, and so I needed to say something here since my mistake prevented a proper edit summary. Tb (talk) 18:13, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit]It looks like there's some copyright-expired drawings of gremials here. Perhaps someone would like to investigate? --Boston (talk) 17:33, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
Lack of consensus
[edit]I believe it is clear that there is a lack of consensus for this change [1]. Bold-Revert-Discuss seems appropriate here. Can we revert it until a consensus in favor of the change should arise? The issue is being actively discussed at Talk:Maundy Thursday. Tb (talk) 18:26, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
Further comment: Can we get a reference for the use of Gremials for the footwashing? In my recollection, this is incorrect, but I'm not certain and don't have the text at hand to check the CE. As a compromise, I would be happy to say "the Thursday before Easter", as well. Tb (talk) 18:33, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
