My family are from Aberdeen in Scotland and would use the name Jock, sometimes Jimmy as well, when referring to someone whose name they did't know.
THe name Old Jock may mean he is old and and they do not know his name, so they refer to him as Jock. 1.141.223.220 (talk) 10:20, 24 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
