Split?

[edit]

See also Talk:Guardian First Book Award#Split into two?

Should this redirect be an article split from the current section of Guardian First Book Award? Judging by its subject alone, yes. Is there secondary coverage of the Fiction Prize. Certainly yes, contemporary coverage in 1964/65 to 1998/99 periodicals (not limited to the sponsoring newspaper).

Split is appropriate is someone with access to sources is so motivated.

I put this redirect in several appropriate categories, all but the 1998 disestablishment copied from the First Book Award article.

17 hours later the split was executed by a redllink editor (User:Kironorik).
Guardian Fiction Award now redirects here.

Official name

[edit]

Does anyone know whether Guardian Fiction Prize was the official name of the award thruout its history? Guardian Fiction Prize displays boldface Guardian Fiction Award in the lead, whereas this article doesn't hint that that plausible alternative name was ever used.
