Except for this page, all of the sources I can find spell the subject's last name as Goffette, not Gofete. The only exceptions are a few blog posts that obviously misspell it as "Gofette". Even the cited works actually use the spelling "Goffette" (and not the "Gofete" spelling as written. Therefore, I' m going to go ahead and use the spelling "Goffette" throughout.
