This journal existed previous to 1949

[edit]

The original title was "Zeitschrift für Rassenkunde" (Journal for Racial Studies). After World War 2, in Germany "race" was a word with very negative connotations and the title was changed to "HOMO" and became the official journal of the German Association of Anthropology.
