HTML Tidy variants/branches comparison (draft)[edit]

Ever since HTML Tidy source code was release, there has been many branches. People take the original code and enhance it. There are so many different HTML Tidy variants and they all produce different results. Here is a comparison table.

Variant URL Author GUI/CL Version/Date Enhancements on top of Dave's HTMLTidy Dave Raggett CL 04-Aug-2000 Cory Nelson GUI v0.2.8 N/A GUI v3.12 (trial) CL 05-Apr-2006 André Blavier GUI v1.1.5 26-May-2001 N/A GUI N/A N/A GUI v2.2.20.79 20-Sep-2006 Charles Reitzel GUI v1.0 20-Feb-2003 Gary Harris GUI v0.1b

What is the different between TidyClassic and TidyLib?

I know there's dozens of HTML Tidy variants. Will try to cover all of them as well as more details on their features, etc. For now, we are covering GUI and CL based HTML Tidys. That means no bindings yet. Also, CL stands for command line.
