Ban edits by new or not logged in users?

[edit]

seems this page is vandalized daily?

Yes, 142.33.52.106 dropped a bunch of junk on it a bit ago. A ban would be a good idea. RedZionX 18:28, 14 November 2007 (UTC) yep good idea this is the 5th time its been vandalized in a while[reply]

Halo sack

[edit]

H Bruthzoo, what was your rationale for deleting the "Halo sack" link? You didn't put anything in the edit summary. Anonymous55 00:32, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion

[edit]

I need to stop leaving my computer on when I'm not home. I had to step out and was about to edit the Halo page. My little brother logged out and edited in his own way, deleting the whole page. Anyone know if it's possible to bring page back up? I apologize for the incident. -Domovoi 16:41, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

According to WP:D#Lists:

Lists of articles of which the disambiguated term forms only a part of the article title don't belong here. Disambiguation pages are not search indices. Do not add links that merely contain part of the page title (where there is no significant risk of confusion).

Unless someone can present some evidence that other media from the Halo series are usually called "Halo", it's probably best just to use the shortened version of the list. We have List of official Halo series media for the full listing.

As for individual items, the first game in the series is commonly called Halo, but I've never seen or heard the books referred to without their subtitles, given that they came after the first game was well-established. — TKD::Talk 01:05, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As someone who originally made the mistake of appending Halo 2 and 3 here, the comment was a really good idea, and I didn't know one could even do that. Although, one should always look at the discussion page before editing (I really thought I was just helping since I was lazily trying to get to the Halo 3 page by typing "Halo") ... I think the comment is a very good idea for preventing future mistakes. Is this a common thing on Wikipedia (comments within the article)? I have never seen that done before. It's not terribly frequent, but it is used a bit to let editors know that there is a particular issue. One somewhat common case is to advise editors not to add more external links in an "External links" section, in articles that are prone to becoming linkfarms. — TKD::Talk 06:03, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Other medical uses of Halo

[edit]

I had Halo-Nivas as a teenager and I was hoping to find information on it. It might have been haloniva or halo-Neva. Either way, it was always referred to as "halos" by my dermatologist. Could that information be added here? --In Defense of the Artist 18:27, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you found the correct spelling of the term. Sure, it seems like a plausible redlink. Just be careful in the future not to "correct" the spelling of Bungie Studios along the way. :) — TKD::Talk 02:28, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I added this to the page, but I couldn't decide whether or not it should be listed right along with the video games. On the one hand, the article for the actual Halo megastructure is obviously related with the games, but on the other, it may be kind of strange to have an article that is NOT about a video game to be listed under the heading "Video games." So I just put it at the bottom of the main list, right above that heading. Should be close enough for someone like me to be able to find it. ;) --SeanQuixote | talk | my contribs 06:21, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Creation of Halo Waypoint

[edit]

Copy from my post on Xbox Live as you guys are more likely to help.

I created Halo Waypoint yesterday while in school because it was dumb for it to not have a wiki when it is in itself it's own application and technically another addition to the Halo series. I also added the link to the dissambiguation. It has several functions that are worth noting. I only made a brief summary of it because I am and was at school and I don't have time. Please help me to create this in your spare time. I plan on working on it a lot after I get ungrounded this weekend. Pikupurphat 17:34, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Halo antenna

[edit]

I tried to add a link to Halo antenna to this page, but cluebot called it vandalism and reverted the page. I am somewhat new to this and would like to know why this was marked as vandalism. Thanks. Ajweb3 (talk) 20:47, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's just a stupid programme. Someone reverted it. Johnbod (talk) 15:38, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please add a link at the end of the "...praised because of its controls." to Halo Wars#Reception. Make it look like a reference or something. Thank you. FinFihlman (talk) 13:38, 21 February 2011 (UTC)FinFihlman[reply]

Move discussion in progress

[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Halo (religious iconography) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 06:45, 6 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
