What sort of unit is gcm−2? Grams per square centimetre? Is this meant to indicate penetration (e.g. 167 grams of lead covering one square centimetre is not able to stop this type of radiation)? Is this just not equivalent to a perpendicular thinkness of lead?--ML5 (talk) 11:28, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
