General comments
  • The article seems pretty light on content throughout: I think the lead could easily be extended to two paragraphs to more effectively summarise the article, while there seem to be many parts of his life and career that should be expanded upon. I think the allegations of throwing, and when this cropped up should almost certainly be mentioned: the article only states that "A controversy regarding his bowling action ended up his international career when he was only 23." No mention is made of being called for throwing against India, or the concerns about his action during the tour of England (Wisden has a little to say on this) and Saad Shafqat's suggestion that disagreements with the Pakistan captain that tour might have had something to do with his leaving the tour.
  • The timeline of the article currently appears to be off; in the first section his first-class career is briefly summarised (this could be expanded a little) and it mentions him touring India in 1960–61, but then the international section goes back to his Test debut three years earlier.
  • Grammatically, the article could use a good copy-edit throughout; I'm willing to help with specific examples once the above issues have been addressed.

I will place the nomination on hold, initially for a week. If I am happy that sufficient progress has been made at that point, I will continue with the review, otherwise I think it would be best to go away, work on the article some more without any time pressure, and come back again.
