I added a link to an external site that includes informational content that is highly relevant, useful & pertinent to the topic, but which is not appropriate to actually post in the article, i.e. Google Earth coordinates, photos, guidebooks, etc. It was deleted. What is the actual difficulty here? Additional information is mandatory to anyone interested in actually repeating this tour. Why is it a problem to provide some direction? Can I repost the link? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.71.154.154 (talk) 22:42, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Title

[edit]

I'm not sure that the word "The" should be omitted from the title in this case, but i'm very sure that The Haute Route w/o a redirect to Haute Route is unacceptable. A Move-this-page back would still leave both names working, which is the most important issue. --Jerzy(t) 21:26, 2005 Feb 3 (UTC)

Category

[edit]

The category here is problematic since the Haute Route is both a summer walking & a winter skiing tour. This entry should also appear under Skiing.

Map

[edit]

I think that a map with the classic route and variations would be a plus (some schematic ones can be found in P. Cliff's book). I do not know yet how to do it properly, but I'll try. --Olivier Debre (talk) 11:57, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
