Restaurants

This edit was removed because a) it misleads that a restaurant's menu becomes classified as "health food" if it contains organic, vegan, or gluten-free items, none of which is scientifically proven to be "healthy", b) the choices are cherry-picked examples, misleading the reader to believe they represent a large sample, WP:CHERRYPICK, and c) there are no WP:RS sources that review the restaurant or health food business to convince the reader of the validity of this section and its premise; fails WP:V. --Zefr (talk) 18:19, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A significant part of the removed text was a history section. A history of restaurants using the term 'health food' would be a useful addition to the article. If the refs don't use the term 'health food', they should not be included. The article frames this term as primarily a marketing term, so the application of MEDRS is questionable.Dialectric (talk) 19:58, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The history was cherry-picked, not credible, and did not have a single WP:RS source. MEDRS doesn't apply for this section. A credible neutral author and secondary publication in a news site, for example, would be a good first step. --Zefr (talk) 22:24, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I deemed the sources credible. I trusted the sources because the subject of the date the restaurant opened or when a restaurant first began selling a certain type of food is not contentious. Some of the sources were secondary, for example one was published by Oxford University Press, I think they weren't cherry-picked, it wasn't my intention to be " misrepresenting what the source says". I think the interested editors should make an exception in this case, because the subject is unlikely to have valid secondary sources for all restaurants, as restaurants are not very important subjects compared to the plethora of other subjects in an encyclopedia - WP: IGNOREALLRULES. Uber, Google news, blogs, and restaurant menu promotions are not reliable sources. The content of the sources is the author's opinion about what is "health food", and the choice of which sources to use in the edit is also opinion; WP:SYNTH.
