Disputed release section

[edit]

I flagged the release section as disputed here. The article is stating matter-of-factly that the film was released on all these screens and that the film was "Kannada cinema's biggest ever release." But the source, this doesn't confirm that the film was actually released across all these screens. It says "Hebbuli ... is expected to be released in over 500 screens across the country, the highest number of screens for a Kannada film." (emphasis mine) Thus, the reference is making a prediction, it is not confirming that the prediction was achieved. It is well within the ability of shady promoters to make all sorts of claims about how wide the release will be to make the film seem more attractive. Needs after-the-fact confirmation. The language could also be changed to indicate that the plan was to release to all these screens, "which would have made it the widest film release for a Kannada language film" or something to that effect. That way we're being more circumspect about the information. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:18, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

100 crore club

[edit]

Recently Hebbuli made 106 plus crore mark, making the first Kannada movie to reach 100 crore club and as of now it has completed 50 days, still going strong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Prasad S M (talkcontribs) 11:23, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Prasad S M: If you are suggesting that we make changes to the article, it would be helpful if you brought references to the talk page to support your assertion. We're not going to make a change without a reference. See WP:ICTF#Guidelines on sources for examples of suitable sources. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:44, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hey who the idiot has given wrong information!!! Hebbuli collection is 106 crores and not 20 crores Rakshithsharma (talk) 11:07, 2 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Rakshithsharma: 1) Avoid personal attacks. 2) You'll need to bring a reference to the discussion if you want data to be changed. Note that blogs or random websites are not sufficient. See Guidelines on sources for examples of sources that are and are not generally considered reliable at Wikipedia. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:14, 2 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
