Re: Notable alumni

[edit]

Greetings editors!

I have removed several people from the list of alumni. Per Schools Project Guidelines highlighting what not to include, students and alumni should never be included in an article unless they meet the Wikipedia general notability policy. In short, these people either need to be the subject of a Wikipedia article, or have to be eligible for one under the notability policy. Members of bands are not automatically notable, even if the band is because notability is not inherited by a relationship to notable people, groups, events, or places. I am in no way not saying that these people aren't locally important, but they do not belong in an encyclopedia article.

Further, the standard heading for this section is "Notable alumni", not "Famous alumni" ... because the list is estricted to only people who meet the notability policy.

Best of luck! LonelyBeacon (talk) 16:43, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Shootings

[edit]

Shootings happened at this school on September 12, 1983, May 10, 2007, and October 16, 2008 should they be added to the article?[1][2][3] Startrain844 (talk) 00:43, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
