The reference to the ring in the portrait being to Anne Vavasour seems inaccurate; Vavasour was not his mistress until at least the 1580s, and the portrait was done in 1568. GD, 16:22 EST, 3 May 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 20:22, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

I found conflicting texts, but it appears that Richard Lee of Virgina is the nephew, not son, of this Sir Henry Lee. I have removed that reference until I can confirm one way or the other. ` PKM 04:57, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

,, 1603 "Lee Hall" of Staffordshire England was the birthplace of Mary Bayley {daugther of William Bayley}; Mary Bayley was the wife of Colonel Roger Fowke of "Gunston Hall", Staffordshire, England-not to be confused with Gunston Hall home of George Mason of Virginia.

I have deleted the images of Lee's ancestors and descendants. Each of them has an article (at least a blue link) where those images should appear. I would suggest that the portrait of Thomas Lee should also be deleted from this article. - PKM (talk) 02:17, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

Trivia section[edit]

"Apparently" and "allegedly" without citations have no place in encyclopedic articles, and distant relations are insignificant. I propose that this entire section be deleted. Comments? - PKM (talk) 08:55, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

Agree, it is nonsensical. Entire section deleted. Seth1066 (talk) 07:20, 22 September 2017 (UTC)

Hancock Lee of Ditchley, Northumberland Co, VA, s/o Richard Lee, the Colonist[edit]

The name of Ditchley continued in the second generation of the Lee family in Virginia thru son Hancock Lee who named his plantation "Ditchley". I also wonder if Ditchley is misspelt and should instead be "Ditchlee" in its original spelling. (talk) 05:07, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

Same person as Henry Lee (died 1611)[edit]

It appears this article is about the same Sir Henry Lee for whom there is a Wikipedia article entitled Henry Lee (died 1611). NinaGreen (talk) 21:15, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
