Capuchin Friars in Herman
[edit]St. Fidelis Seminary (later, St. Fidelis College) in Herman was established in 1876 or 1877 and closed in 1979. It was the place where "hundreds of young men (were) trained for Capuchin life and the priesthood". Details can be seen from a web site and a 6-page PDF booklet (2023).
In the church of the Bavarian village of Durach, a plaque (dating from 1926) reminisces of the seminary's founder, Fr. Hyacinth Epp (who had been born in that village), and includes a painting of the seminary. -- Martinus KE (talk) 21:35, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
