The claims, such as High Knob being a "massif" or the name "High Knob Landform" have not been documented by official sources, such as the USGS. Most of these claims have only recently come about, mainly due to one local advocacy group (The Clinch Coalition) using it to promote their environmental agenda and are mostly not based on published sources but rather in the author's own opinion.

Also, much of the article incorporates opinions and other information that, while related to the overall geographic area and the goals of the group, does not really pertain to this particular subject i.e. references to "The Cedars" and "Unthank Cave" which are located over 30 miles away from the subject of this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.67.157.114 (talk) 08:40, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone can read that the High Knob Wikipedia page is heavily referenced.

The terms High Knob Massif and High Knob Landform are part of original research by the author [1], who does not belong to any environmental group, including The Clinch Coalition.

Who ever disputes this page clearly has not studied the information presented.

The Powell Valley Anticline of the Cumberland or Pine Mountain Overthrust Block is the geological ( structural ) framework of The High Knob Landform, of which The Cedars and Unthanks Cave are part of its eroded calcareous core [2].

Wikipedia education pages are no place to make false accusations about affiliations to satisfy personal agendas.

Google malicious website advisory

[edit]

The article includes an external reference to a 2007 newspaper report in the Kingsport Times-News, but then warns that

*** www.timesnews.net has a Google Advisory for being a malicious website ***

Checking Google here shows no advisory for that Website for the present or for the previous 90-day period, so I'm going to drop the warning text.

Of the what?

[edit]

Since revision 501321150, http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=High_Knob&diff=next&oldid=501321150 there is an incomplete sentence: it reads "it represents the 'pivot point' of the [3] (first described in notable detail during the 1920s and 1930s by geologists Charles Butts and John Rich)." So... of the what?

I'm at work and don't have time to research the subject to modify the page. Can someone please take care of it? Thanks!
