Record labels and recording studios
[edit]Hi all -- I just created articles for the band's studio albums: Leave Me Alone (Hinds album) and I Don't Run. Please do check them out, let me know what you think, and improve them! I'm wondering if anyone can help me sort out a couple things:
- Some sources (e.g. https://www.spin.com/2016/01/review-hinds-leave-me-alone/) say that Leave Me Alone was released on Mom + Pop Music, while others (e.g. http://drownedinsound.com/releases/19167/reviews/4149681) say it was released on Lucky Number. Does anyone know which is right? Or if those two labels are the same, or have since merged? Right now, I have Mom + Pop Music in the album's article, but the band's article says Lucky Number.
- Can anyone find the recording studio for Leave Me Alone? I don't want to assume it's the same as for I Don't Run.
Thank you -- Cloud atlas (talk) 03:35, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
- "Mom + Pop Music" released the album in the US, "Lucky Number" in europe.--RasAndi (talk) 11:43, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
- @RasAndi: thanks. How did you figure that out? I'd like to know for next time what to look for. -- Cloud atlas (talk) 16:28, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Cloud atlas: No problem. :) I did two things: First I looked on discogs (https://www.discogs.com/de/artist/247664-Hinds), which labels released the album and where those labels are located: "Lucky Number" is London based, "Mom + Pop Music" is from New York. Afterwards I looked in several webstores from the US and some European countries, from which label the album is sold. The result was unambiguous. US -->"Mom + Pop Music", Europe --> "Lucky Number".--RasAndi (talk) 06:41, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
- Same thing for "I don't run"--RasAndi (talk) 07:04, 10 April 2018 (UTC)

- Leave Me Alone was recorded in the same studio as I Don't Run. On the back cover, you can find: "Recorded in Cádiz". Here (http://diymag.com/2015/09/08/this-is-to-show-the-world-what-we-have-say-hinds-of-debut-album-leave-me-alone) you can find the studio name: Paco Loco studio.--RasAndi (talk) 06:51, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
- @RasAndi: got it. Thanks for helping. -- Cloud atlas (talk) 05:11, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
