History

[edit]

This article needs more historic content. I'm talking about information about important past and present political leaders, organizations, events, court cases, etc. --JuanMuslim 1m 02:02, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am a new Wikipedian and just added to the page "Hispanic and Latino American Politics." I would appreciate any comments, tips, and edits to make this page better. Thank you for your help! ----Thisonewins

Hi, Thisonewins.
I have three suggestions to make right now: 1) The section "Notable Hispanic Republican Politicians" would probably be better if rewritten as prose. 2) If possible, please add some more about Hispanics and the Democratic party. 3) The URL or CNN website which is cited should be provided in the article.
I've just responded on my talk page to your message, but again, thank you. SamEV (talk) 05:37, 22 April 2011 (UTC); 18:37, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is about Hispanic and Latino politics in America it needs a lot of help

This article is basically in the same vein of Latino vote. It just discusses Latino voting patterns, it should definitely be expanded.Mangokeylime (talk) 21:46, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Interest in Contributing: Historical Context & Political Science Research

[edit]

Hello everyone! My name is Roselyn Ovalle, and I am interested in helping improve upon this article. As suggested by previous users, I plan on adding historical information regarding latino voter disenfranchisement. This includes the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and important court cases. Additionally I plan on including the effects these bills/cases had on latinos, both positively and negatively. Lastly, I plan on adding findings from political science research paper on latinos as they provide various nuances that could be helpful for the general public to be informed about. If you have any other suggestions or ideas, I'd be happy to hear! For more details on my plan, please refer to my user page, as I will be updating it frequently. Hello everyone I recently have been working on potential edits for the article in my sandbox . Peer Review for PJHC

[edit]

Rovalle234, you did a great job on adding to this article. It is well-sourced, easy to read, and presents information from a neutral standpoint. The main thing I suggest for this article is to add more to the "Trends in the South" section and change section titles that are about impact. I think this would make your article even more reader friendly. Once again, amazing job!! --Mmemorablemoments (talk) 19:09, 22 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
