Amazon[edit]

I don't know how to edit this in, but Purple Rain is a bonus track on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005DUJ5WG/ref=dm_sp_alb Crazychrisr92 (talk) 21:32, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move[edit]

The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: page moved per request. The word "on" does not function as a preposition in this title. It can be thought of as an adverb modifying the verb "hold", or as part of the verb phrase "hold on". You can see it's not a preposition here, because it has no object. On the other hand, "until" (abbreviated as "'til") is a preposition (the object of which is "the night"), and is therefore correctly lower-case. Since we consistently apply title case on Wikipedia, the capitalization used on the album itself is immaterial. - GTBacchus(talk) 01:27, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hold on 'til the NightHold On 'til the Night – Correct name for Prep.. Silvergoat (talkcontrib) 09:55, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The title as supplied by iTunes is "Hold On 'Til the Night". Of course, the actual artwork has the title displayed entirely in lowercase anyway. -- Arwel Parry (talk) 18:28, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose "On" is to be in lowercase in titles. nding·start 04:33, 7 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Why? "On" is correct to be in lowercase, but this is "Hold On" (Full album title: Hold On, until the Night). Silvergoat (talkcontrib) 05:32, 11 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It'd be without the comma, "Hold on Until the Night" if it was in full text. Oppose. Nathan | talk 00:33, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It would be Hold On Until the Night, see Hold On Tight (Hey Monday album). Silvergoat (talkcontrib) 08:05, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Requested Re-Title[edit]

The official title of both the name of the album and song of the same name is "Hold on 'Til the Night" as it appears on the physical CD.
