Discogs
[edit]I'm not too clear in regards in using Discogs as a reference. I provided a single version running time to the link to my source provided below. Nevertheless, it has been reverted.

I've never seen a source for running time(s), unless some releases are listed after an article and not all of those contain a source. Discogs may be a user contributor site, but isn't Wikipedia too? I've seen pages that were sabotaged as well as comments pointing out about it. I know it's a big undertaking correcting those pages for example. But Discogs are very strict when someone submits a release to be added. Most physical releases are reissued over the years, especially a big selling album. If someone wants to add a different version, they must make sure the release isn't already listed. The user would take pics of the item and list how theirs is different. It could be something as a number on the back of an album cover or even differences in what's on the run out. Then administrators vote regarding the add. I've had no issue with Discogs as I've contributed to them over the years. However, I don't get praised for big contributions I make. I would never do anything to compromise a Wikipedia page. It is unfortunate when people deliberately sabotage a page or provide false info or even an opinion. Im closing, I do want to be clear in using Discogs as a source as there are instances where it can be used. Thank you. Karaokelegend (talk) 08:14, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
