Copyright problem
[edit]Removed some text diff - compare http://www.subbrit.org.uk/sb-sites/stations/h/hornsea_town/index.shtml
Either there has to be permission given under the relevant license, or some other solution - since the site that has identical text is copyrighted.Shortfatlad (talk) 19:57, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
Turning trains
[edit]Can anyone explain how and where the trains turned round at Hornsea Town? Especially when they were steam hauled trains? There doesn't seem to be any extra track beyond the platform.
Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Peter Judge (talk • contribs) 22:23, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
- @Peter Judge: Trains don't need turning - steam locomotives do, and then only if they are tender locos. Tank locos - often used on branch lines like this - run just as well backwards as forwards, so don't need to be turned after each trip. Anyway, there was a turntable at the southern end of the station (on the eastern side). --Redrose64 (talk) 23:34, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
