Deletion[edit]

I have deleted this sentence, which is incorrect: "Most importantly, it was the first nationally-televised college basketball game." Referring to 1968 game with Elvin Hayes. NCAA tournament games were nationally televised (syndicated) as early as 1954. In 1963 a six-year contract began between NCAA and Sports Network Inc. Fair use rationale for Image:University of Houston Logo.png[edit]

Image:University of Houston Logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Separating out conference titles by conference in infobox template[edit]

Hello all, I've separated out in the infobox what conference the team was affiliated with when they won their regular season or tournament title. I feel like this is beneficial so people won't have to scroll through the full list of seasons or individual coaches pages to find out, or match the year to conference affiliation year ranges. Please don't revert until consensus is reached on whether to leave or remove. Additionally, it scales to mobile devices correctly. Examples of this being done/left alone on other pages are here and here. Please let me know your thoughts. TNNSUH (talk) 21:15, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed content remains excluded from an article during a discussion. Just because other articles do it doesn't make it right. I can thank of one article where the team has won conference titles in different conferences and they are all listed together instead of separated and that's Kansas and it's been that way for some time. The mobile device argument doesn't make any sense because it looks like fine on a mobile device without them being separated. As soon as I saw you saw you say that I checked it when it was removed and it looks fine. The purpose of the parameter is to list years they won a conference championship. The purpose of an infobox is to identify most important information at a quick glance. Separating out by conference prevents this and adds unnecessary extra information to infobox. Additionally the infobox template page just says to list the years they won a conference title. It doesn't mention anything about separating by conference.--Rockchalk717 23:52, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
