Note from the creator
[edit]I'm working on my first page, any help would be appreciated. I especially wonder about the issue of Notability. This is a recognized historic house in Des Moines. The other two historic houses, Salisbury House and Terrace Hill already have wiki pages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lrtruck (talk • contribs) 19:11, August 1, 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for editing Wikipedia. I'm the one who added the notability tags. On Wikipedia, the notability of something, especially something of local fame, is usually a subject of hot debate. However, the thing that always helps to establish notability is the inclusion of several reliable sources - news articles about the house, web sites about it (so long as they're not blogs), encyclopedia articles, et cetera. By adding a few more sources to the article you'll definitely establish that the house is well-known and this will satisfy most people who aren't sure about whether this article should be included in the encyclopedia. elektrikSHOOS 21:05, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
