B-class

[edit]

B-class since there isn't much more info to be had for this song. --NormalAsylum (t) 05:05, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Covers

[edit]

The song is not only covered by The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd, the song has been covered by thousands of bands but there are some of them that I think should be mentioned, like The Doors or Andres Calamaro. Let me add the Grateful Dead playing this song with Pigpen singing 1966-1971 [archive.org (e.g.): Ivar Theater, Los Angeles, February 25, 1966, 11 Feb 1969 Fillmore East 2-11-69]. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 2003:E1:2710:5B00:B868:6A4A:B494:EFA5 (talk) 17:38, 20 May 2019 17:38 (UTC)
Websites like secondhandsongs.com are much better at showing long lists of versions of songs – it lists 51 for "I'm a King Bee" (but no Andres Calamaro?!?).[1] Only the ones that have something written about them by a reliable source should be added here (see WP:SONGCOVER for an explanation). So you really need more than "Pigpen (or Andres) sang it here and there" and it should be have a reference to a reliable source. Start there ("A concert review in Rolling Stone notes that the Dead played the song for 40 minutes, with Pigpen's singing inspired by ... and Phil Lesh's bass lines echo ... [ref: Joe Blow, Rolling Stone May 20, 1969]"). You get the idea. —Ojorojo (talk) 19:17, 20 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
