Merge from circuit identification code

[edit]

Current article lacks any context that would help understanding the idea. Also, for such a small part of the protocol I don't see a separate page being warranted. JulesH 15:20, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am heartily agreed with the idea to merge Circuit identification code with ISDN User Part. Have you already searched for other strays such as CIC? Mmccalpin 19:55, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I actually disagree, since the CIC article refers not only to its meaning in ISUP but also to that in BICC. Whereas both uses of the term CIC are analogous, merging the article into ISUP (and not into BICC) would constitute a loss of information. Merging it into both is duplication. I agree with Jan, as CIC isn't something that is exclusive to ISUP. Another example of its use is in the SS7 TUP protocol. The TUP article needs some updating and it should be cross-referenced with the CIC article. -

Requesting a copyedit / merge from ISUP

[edit]

User:KCTrey added some ISUP message types to the ISUP page which was deleted a month later (replaced with disambiguation).

I hope the content he added was merged here, but just in case it wasn't; I wanted to draw some attention to it. Thanks, •ː• 3ICE •ː• 16:41, 7 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
