An infobox was requested for The Happenings' 1967 recording of "I Got Rhythm" at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Missing_encyclopedic_articles/List_of_notable_songs/7.

I'm not sure about that fact, but I think the original recording wasn't by Ethel Merman, but by Ethel Waters in 1930.

What about It was originally written as a slow song for Treasure Girl (1928)?

To be dropped in the first place, until it was modified in 1930?

Or are there traces of it in Treasure Girl?
