Data for last addition; Absolute limits are the speed of light (30 cm/nanosecond) and the transmission limit of copper wire (9 cm/nanosecond). Should this link over to the physisc page about transmission through materials to make it obvious for the reader? I think this article should be merged with Photonic Integrated Circuit, that article is much more complete and they are both talking about the same topic. 70.56.87.97 07:28, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
