There are many additional locations in which anoxygenic photosynthesis can occur. Several lakes in Germany and the US are meromictic and have chemoclines in which GSBs and PSBs grow. Additionally thermal environments (hot springs, deep ocean vents) support the growth of phototrophic sulfur bacteria.

Also, is this directly germane to an article on isorenieratine? Yes, it should likely be mentioned that it tends to co-occur with brown-colored Green Sulfur Bacteria that have BChl e as the primary chlorophyll, but giving further details on GSBs in a carotenoid article seems like it's TMI and a GSB article, not a carot. article, should talk about the environments in which they occur.
