Gray zone

[edit]

Sources cite that Ivano-Daryivka was left by the Russians because they couldn't stand the pressure from the Ukrainians. They shot constantly at the village from a hill, and the village is in a geographically low location. This is why Russians left it and Ukrainians aren't hurrying to take it back, which makes it a grey zone like Andriivka south of Chasiv Yar. Could someone put this in? 77.219.13.96 (talk) 13:43, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi 77.219.13.96, thanks for the post! :) Give a reliable source and I'll update the article. Best, Dan the Animator 15:03, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The news dont comment on everything, but I've got liveuamap.com, it is a neutral source, doesn't exaggerate the achievements of neither side. It also shows Russians barely out of Ivano-Daryivka, which very much might be the truth. If it still isn't reliable enough, then lets just leave it as it is - Russians control Ivano-Daryivka. Wikipedia is for facts, not assumptions. 77.219.13.96 (talk) 15:57, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I did some checking on my go-to maps for territorial control and DeepStateMap.Live shows it as completely deoccupied while the leading reliable source for this, Institute for the Study of War shows it as half and half. I think with the three sources taken together, that's plenty enough to back up saying that "Multiple sources reported Ukrainian advances in the village, with some sources indicating that the village is in a contested gray zone with neither Russian nor Ukrainian forces having full control of the village." I'll add this later today when I get back on desktop. Thanks again for letting me know about this! :) Dan the Animator 16:27, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I also checked deepstatemap.live, but I didn't mention it since it is Pro-Ukrainian. Thank you :) 77.219.13.96 (talk) 16:50, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Done just added it in! Let me know if there's any other articles I could help with! :) Dan the Animator 17:36, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
