I can understand. I cannot find an Ivy Tech that is IN Louisville itself. The Southern Indiana Region (Sellersburg) has classes nearby, but not in Louisville. Josh a brewer (talk) 18:31, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Number of campuses

The article says there are 25 campuses. It also says (in the infobox) that there are 24. The website says there are 23. Who is right? 168.91.255.100 (talk) 17:01, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

The Kokomo Region (formerly Region 5) has 4 campuses, in Kokomo, Logansport, Peru, and Wabash. The Peru one just opened a couple of years ago and has recently been dedicated. Notable Alumni

I once again deleted Kerri Cokeley because I still am confused as to how she should be incorporated into the notable alumni. More so, Why should the other person be on here as notable. Amanda was on American Idol. But she was a Nurse from Ivy Tech's programs...It would be different if she saved the President's life or something...but she sang a song...I don't think it has anything to do with Ivy Tech. One standard for notability would be the existence of an article on Wikipedia. Amanda has that. She's been in the news and media, which makes her at least somewhat notable, and sources may be found to cite about her life and "career," such as it was or is. Kerri Cokeley may deserve and article of her own, but right now, she doesn't seem notable WP:NOTABLE. Josh a brewer (talk) 17:29, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Campus Life

What I have found are general organizations that go along with most campus's, dealing with the majors that they have. Such as Accounting club, american chemical society, and so on.Bah2009 (talk) 17:39, 5 February 2009 Bah2009

Good. You should also add that Ivy Tech is not a residential college, which is what many people think of when they think of "campus life." We don't have dorms, as far as I know, on any campuses. Josh a brewer (talk) 17:21, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Partnerships

So, do to the fact that the history section is a little out dated with the partnership with Vincennes University, I thought I would try to add more recent partnerships. I think that updating, and adding information on the partnerships with Ivy Tech is a really good idea. I know that through my paralegal major, there are also partnerships with Saint Mary's Collge and Ball State. So really good idea, but where I dont know. Bah2009 (talk) 17:41, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Sections that should be deleted?

NURSING and RESPIRATORY CARE I noticed there are two sections added to the website, Nursing, and Respiratory Care. Doesn't this seem a little biased? These two sections are part of Health Sciences, which is discussed in the section above the "Nursing" section. I was thinking about deleting the Nursing and Respiratory section and replace it with Financial aid information, which would pertain to all students or interested people. I wanted to post my opinion before I did anything drastic.

I agree. If there are to be two sections that are based on two of the programs that are offered, we might as well as write sections about every program offered. It is taking up to much space, and this is why there are brochures at the school if they become more interested, also there is a website that goes into great detail about these programs. I deleted the Respiratory and Nursing sections because we felt they were biased and unneeded in this page. The page is supose to be an encyclopedia, not a secondory souce to the Ivy Tech website. There is health science information above in the schools section. We either need to come to some sort of compromise, or write sections about every single program and waste time and space.Greenshp (talk) 16:31, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

I do not live anywhere near an Ivy Tech. It would be nice if there was a place that offered more information on specific programs before I make a trip to a campus to get information. I thought the sectional program information was nice. Can I add it back? I do not believe it would be biased if we added more programs as a whole.Noswal306 (talk) 17:01, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Ivy Tech State College

As a student at Ivy Tech, I often see documentation that names the college as "Ivy Tech State College." Performing a Google search of the aforementioned, yields results that substantiate this. It appears both names are used interchangeably. I am unsure of which is the proper name for the school, and how they should be included in the article.24.14.133.24 (talk) 18:02, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
